This module explains how to use the Digital Drop Box to submit assignments in your online class.

Many instructors use the Digital Drop Box to send and receive assignments from students.

The Digital Drop Box is an area where files can be turned in or uploaded and then once the instructor has graded the assignment, the student can go back to his or her Digital Drop Box and view the corrected assignment.

It's sort of like a personal mail box where assignments can be delivered or picked up.

The Digital Drop Box is only used to send and receive files to and from the instructor. If you want to send a file to another student, that should be done by attaching a file to an email message.
