To meet the requirements of the online course, there may be assignments that need to be completed outside the tools of Educator. These
external assignments
will be listed in the Assignments area of the course. Critical information about the parameters of the assignment (i.e., how much it is worth and when it is due) is provided here.
The Assignments acts somewhat like a cover sheet providing the necessary details for completing the assignment. Once you receive the details, the work to complete the assignment is conducted outside of the Educator online classroom. For example, there may be an assignment for a short essay with the following details:

Respond to the following question in less than 400 words.

What is the purpose of the sales letter?

Submit the assignment as a Microsoft Word document.
Once you receive these details, you enter Microsoft Word to type in the response to the question. Once you have a final copy produced external to Educator, this Word file is then uploaded to the Assignment.
A box for Student Comments is also in the Assignment. Some instructors may require that the typed document be copied from Word and pasted into this comment box for submission, rather than uploading the file.
